Muna Harib AlMheiri is the Head of Marketing and Communications at Al Masraf where she drives transformative initiatives that elevate the bank’s brand presence and stakeholder engagement, while also spearheading efforts to foster a cohesive culture.
At Al Masraf, Muna has introduced a forward-thinking hub-and-spoke marketing model, making the marketing and communications function more proactive and aligned with the bank's strategic goals. She has reshaped the culture by launching a set of core values and JenZ, an internal social communications platform designed to enhance employee engagement. The platform serves as a hub for celebrating achievements, sharing updates, and strengthening relationships across all levels of the organization.
Muna has been instrumental in advancing Al Masraf’s digital transformation, including the launch of a new digital onboarding app, while also strengthening the bank's crisis communication strategy.
Prior to Al Masraf, Muna was the Chief Marketing Officer at Zand Bank, where she spearheaded the marketing and branding strategy for the UAE’s first digital bank, working alongside renowned artist Philippe Starck to create a seamless digital customer experience. Her leadership experience also includes her tenure as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at DXB Entertainments, where she developed the brand for the holding company and the communication strategy for Dubai Parks & Resorts, a landmark project in the UAE’s tourism sector.
Beyond her corporate achievements, Muna is deeply committed to humanitarian and community initiatives. She founded Seeds of Change, a movement encouraging acts of kindness. Her Breathing Numbers Humanitarian project has brought global attention to the plight of Syrian refugees, documenting their stories and delivering humanitarian aid to camps in Jordan and beyond.
Muna’s impact has been widely recognized. She was ranked the 54th most powerful Arab woman globally and has appeared on Arabian Business’s global list of the 100 most powerful Arabs. Her humanitarian work has been honored by Buckingham Palace, and she served as the GCC representative for the UN’s "Humanitarian Heroes" initiative. Muna has also been featured as a comic book hero in Women of Change, recognized as one of Ahlan’s "Hot 100" pioneers, and served as a Happiness Ambassador for the Global Happiness Organization.
An advocate for women’s empowerment, she has represented the Middle East in Bobbi Brown’s Pretty and Powerful campaign and served on advisory boards, including the Architectural Engineering Department Advisory Board and the Joyful Woman NGO in Kenya.
Muna holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Sorbonne University and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Administration from UAE University. A passionate traveler who has explored over 70 countries, Muna draws inspiration from diverse cultures, enriching her professional creativity and her belief in the power of storytelling to inspire change.
